 Richard Dean Anderson to receive Air Force award
StarGate The U.S. Air Force is honouring Richard Dean Anderson on September 14th, Richard Dean Anderson is being recognized for his role as Colonel Jack O'Neill at the Air Force Association's 57th Annual Anniversary Dinner in Washington, D.C. for his positive depiction of the US Air Force over the last Seven Seasons of Stargate SG-1.

Executive Producer Richard Dean Anderson (with Michael Greenburg) has for the last seven years produced and starred in the smash hit scifi channel series Stargate SG-1 as Col. Jack O'Neill, commanding officer of Explorer Unit SG-1. O'Neill has since been promoted to Brigadier General and is in charge of the SGC Programme under General George Hammond (Don S Davis), recently promoted to Lieutenant General and posted to The Pentagon.

Chief of Staff General John P. Jumper who filmed a guest spot as himself for the Season Seven finale (Lost City) will be on hand to participate, In conjunction with the award, Richard Anderson will also tour the Pentagon and visit with wounded troops at Walter Reed Hospital.
